Update as of Friday Jan. 24, 2025 at 8:48 a.m., Nanaimo RCMP say they have located Ernest Cartlidge safe and sound.
Nanaimo RCMP are asking for your help in finding a missing 50-year-old man.
Police say Ernest Cartlidge was reported missing on Monday, over two weeks after he stopped communicating with his family on or about January 5. He was known to keep regular contact with his family, no reasons found to why he stopped communicating.
Cartlidge is described as an Indigenous man, stands 6 feet 6 inches tall, has a slim build, scruffy appearance, sports a moustache and goatee, with a scorpion tattoo located on one of his forearms.
They add he has no fixed address and is known to camp in local parks.
