Be ready for pooling water as rain is set for Sechelt this weekend.
In a release, the District of Sechelt says because of the expected rain and melting snow, they expect an increased water runoff. Pooling water and big puddles are expected, which could lead to flooding.
To prevent flooding, they ask you to clear snow and debris around catch basins or storm drains and report any larger obstructions that would prevent water from getting to a catch basin.
They hope through this work, the water can go directly where it needs to go.
Residents are encouraged to drive carefully.
