A collision in Nanaimo is being investigated after an ambulance was struck at the intersection of Dufferin Street and Boundary Avenue.
According to RCMP, the ambulance was carrying a passenger when it was broadsided by an older vehicle travelling westbound on Dufferin Street around 10:20 a.m. on Feb. 25.
They say no serious injuries resulted in the crash but those involved were taken to hospital.
“The driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital where he is receiving medical attention,” they say. “The BCEHS paramedics and patient were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.”
The intersection was closed while investigators examined the scene, and was reopened at 1 p.m., but police still say if you have any information on the crash contact Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
